As a part of the University of Birmingham’s Experience Arts Internship Programme, we’re glad welcome to Isaac Boothman to the team for the next few months.

Since finishing University in 2020, Isaac has thrown himself into supporting music, creativity and engagement. He is fresh from the Scottish street orchestra Nevis Ensemble, both as a trumpet player and as their recent Marketing & PR Assistant. As a writer, Isaac has worked on poems, press releases and podcasts, the results of which can be found at www.bits-of-pieces.com.

Hi! I’m Isaac, and I’m going to be Misfits Music’s Projects and Marketing Assistant for the next couple of months!

I’ve made my fair share of music (and sometimes noise) so far, and so I’m really excited to join Misfits to help get stuck in the running of these zoom calls, rehearsals, sessions and socials.

Understanding how to properly meet the needs of the communities we live in is crucial for any art and artists at times like this, and I'll get stuck in to do the best I can - so please, give me a shout at our next rehearsal!

All the best,

Isaac Boothman
