I'm a recent Master's graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, holding a distinction in Saxophone Performance. 🌟 My journey encompasses a rich tapestry of experiences as a Peripatetic Woodwind Tutor, a Graduate Saxophone Assistant, and the leader of the award-winning Yugen Saxophone Quartet.

🎓 My Musical Odyssey:

Teaching: My diverse teaching background includes roles with Birmingham Services for Education, Bromsgrove Music Service and a flourishing private practice since 2017. Notably, I've guided students to exceptional ABRSM results in both classical and jazz examinsations.

Performance: Leading the Yugen Saxophone Quartet, I've graced national stages and spearheaded our acclaimed album "Origins" in 2022. Experiences at festivals like Leicester International Music Festival and performances at Powderham Castle have deepened my understanding of igniting young musicians' potential.

Ensemble Leadership: From Saxophone choirs to quartets and beyond, my ensemble leadership experience at Birmingham Services for Education and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire emphasizes a commitment to collaborative learning.

Outreach Project - Saxology: My passion extends to Saxology, connecting saxophonists across the Midlands in chamber ensembles. This endeavor embodies my dedication to fostering a love for music through collaboration.

Extensive Teaching Experience: Alicia, with over seven years of teaching experience, has engaged students of all ages and abilities, privately and with esteemed music services. She expertly prepares students for ABRSM/Trinity examinations in Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Recorder, and Saxophone.

Versatility in Leadership: Alicia organizes and manages extracurricular wind ensembles, leads jazz workshops, and introduces young minds to the joy of music through whole-class teaching.

Instrumental Expertise: Alicia's journey at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire included tutoring undergraduate Saxophone students, gaining valuable approaches for higher education teaching. Extensive instrumental training in Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, and Oboe further enriches her teaching repertoire.

Woodwind Mentorship: Mentoring woodwind students in Saxology ensembles, Alicia provides individual assistance, improves confidence, and leads sectionals on Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe, and Flute.
