a daytime singing club for those who sing in the shower, in the car and for fun

What is the
Song Collective?

The Song Collective is a singing group where we sing our favourite music together and socialise with other local people in our community!

Whether you are a confident vocalist or prefer to sing in the shower, come along and smash through your favourite songs in a fun and judgement-free environment under the leadership of professional and supportive leaders.

What do
we do?

As well as singing a range of music from different genres and eras (like rock, pop, film), we organise performances, social events and other fun activities that all members are welcome to join in.

There is absolutely no sheet music at The Song Collective. You can find lyrics on your phone or use the lyric sheets we’ll provide, but look after them!

HOW MUCH DO
sessions COST?

The Song Collective received generous funding allowing us to charge only £1 or £2 per session. If you require a free space, tell one of the leaders of the group running the session on the day.

When and where
do we meet?

On Mondays, we meet at The Billesley Pub in Kings Heath (B13 0AB) from 1pm to 3pm. The Billesley is an accessible venue with a large car park and has links to nearby public transport. (11a, 169, 871, 883 on the Addison Road)

Your Session
Leader, Rodrigo

An Argentinian composer, songwriter, guitarist, and writer, based in Birmingham since 2018. Rodrigo (Rod) has a Degree in Musical Arts, and over 8 years of teaching experience, including a position at the National University of Arts (Buenos Aires).

ARE THERE AUDITIONS OR
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

No! Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned singer, anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to join in. We do our best to keep our activities accessible to those with mobility requirements; just let us know how we can help.
