Partner With Us: Refer a Participant
At Misfits Music Foundation, we believe making music should be inclusive, joyful, and open to all—regardless of experience level or background. We run accessible community choirs, band projects, and creative music groups designed to boost mental health, reduce social isolation, and build strong community connections.
If you represent an NHS trust, social prescribing link service, disability support charity, or local community organisation, we make it seamless and welcoming to refer your clients.
Why Refer to Misfits Music?
No Auditions or Experience Needed: We welcome complete beginners and seasoned players alike.
Accessibility First: Our venues, rehearsals, and digital spaces are designed to accommodate physical disability, neurodiversity, and long-term health conditions.
Proven Wellbeing Outcomes: Regular group music-making helps lower anxiety, improves mood, and offers a low-pressure social network.
Supportive Environment: We provide a relaxed, warm atmosphere where participants can engage at their own pace without judgment.
Who Our Groups Are For
Adults (18+) looking to re-engage with their community or try something new.
Individuals managing low to moderate mental health challenges, loneliness, or burnout.
Disabled, neurodivergent, or chronically ill individuals seeking accessible creative outlets.
Anyone who thought music-making "wasn't for them."
How the Referral Process Works
Complete our brief online referral form with your client's consent, or email our team directly.
Contact the participant (or their carer/referrer) for an informal chat to discuss any access needs.
We invite them to attend a session to see if it’s a good fit, with no pressure to commit right away.
Once signed up, we ensure they feel settled and supported at every session.
